Mary Magdalene, the first witness to the Resurrection, has been studied and presented in a variety of roles. Beginning on May 16, we shall gather each Thursday for 8 weeks at 7:15 PM to examine her as depicted in the Bible, in early Christian writings, through the Middle ages and in modern film and literature. We will read “The Quest of Mary Magdalene” by Michael Haag. You can also read “Mary Magdalene Understood” by Jane Schaberg and “The Meaning of Mary Magdalene” by Cynthia Bourgeault. If you are interested in joining us, please contact the church office at 908-925-1535 to reserve a space.
